In connection with the scheme to incorporate several shell businesses in India and add fictitious directors to their boards, the authorities has detained one person called Dortse who has connections to China.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on Sunday morning, Dorte has “clearly emerged as the mastermind” of the entire scheme. However, the arrest was made on Saturday.
Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has arrested Mr. Dortse as a result of the concurrent search and seizure operations carried out by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 8, 2022, at the offices of Jillian Consultants India Private Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jilian Hong Kong Ltd., in Gurgaon, Fininty Pvt Ltd, in Bangalore, and Husys Consulting Ltd, a formerly listed company, in Hyderabad. The two directors of Jilian Consultants India Private Limited are Dortse and one Chinese national.
According to information received and the results of the investigations, Dortse had escaped the Delhi NCR for a remote area in the state of Bihar and was attempting to leave India by road, according to the statement.
“SFIO immediately formed a special team and sent them to the far-off location. Dortse was taken into custody by SFIO on the evening of September 10th, 2022. Dortse was afterwards brought before the jurisdictional court, where orders for his transit detention were secured.”
According to the information submitted to the Registrar of Companies, the arrested individual Dortse had demonstrated himself to be a resident of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, according to the statement from the ministry.
