On the second day of the Budget session, Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will address the state Legislative Assembly.
Chief Minister will respond to the Governor’s speech. He will also speak on the government’s efforts to keep the state’s law and order in order. The Opposition assailed the Aam Admi Party (AAP) administration on the first day of the budget session over the death of musician Sidhu Moose Wala. Partap Singh Bajwa, the state Assembly’s leader, and Punjab Congress chairman Amarinder Singh Raja Warring both criticized the AAP administration for withdrawing Moose Wala’s security protection.
They claimed that the government had removed the deceased singer’s protection despite threats against him.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force said on Thursday that they had apprehended another suspect in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder investigation.
The accused has ties to mobster Lawrence Bishnoi. With this arrest, the total number of people arrested in the case has now reached 13.
“We nabbed Baldev aka Nikku today, who accompanied ‘Kekda’ on a reconnaissance mission for the crime. So far, 13 individuals have been arrested. Lawrence Bishnoi claimed that the murder preparation began last year “said Pramod Ban, the head of the Anti-Gangster Task Force.
“Baldev aka Nikku was detained today in Sirsa, Haryana. His job was to undertake reconnaissance and transmit information to the conspirators who were in close contact with the gunmen. He has been mentioned in a number of past cases ” he continued.
Earlier on June 14, the Patiala House Court in Delhi granted Punjab Police permission to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
The court also granted the Punjab Police transit plea and asked the Punjab Police to ensure that the accused Lawrence Bishnoi’s medical examination is done in accordance with the law/rules before leaving Delhi and before his presentation before the relevant Court of CJM, Mansa, and Punjab.
On May 29, unidentified attackers shot and killed Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village in Punjab’s Mansa district. The incident occurred a day after Punjab police removed his protection, along with 424 others.
Punjab Police had previously informed the Patiala House Court in Delhi that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is a suspect in the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala. During the course of the inquiry, it was discovered that Lawrence Bishnoi was a crucial conspirator, and his detention is required.
