The Karsog Assembly seat of the Mandi district on Sunday received 33 development projects worth around Rs. 90 crores from Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.


The Chief Minister announced the opening of Degree College at Pangna and the beginning of M.A. History and M.Sc. Classes at Degree College Karsog while addressing a highly attended public assembly at Karsog as part of Pragtisheel Himachal: Sathapna Ke 75 Varsh programme. He also announced the opening of the Dhar Ayurvedic Health Centre, the transformation of Tattapani Veterinary Dispensary into a Veterinary Hospital, Ashla Sub Tehsil, Shansh and Pokhi Health Sub Centers, and Khanayol Bagra Forest Inspection Hut.

According to the Chief Minister, the State’s population was just 11 lakh when it was formed, but it is now over 70 lakh. He claimed that the State’s overall area was 25,839 square kilometres, while it is really 55,763 square kilometres now. In contrast to a literacy rate of just over 4.8% in 1948, the State’s literacy rate now is over 83 percent.


Thakur thanked the people of the State for their unwavering support of the current State Government and declared that the State has made enormous development in the fields of health, education, horticulture, tourism, and related industries.

According to Jai Ram Thakur, the current administration has made sure that welfare programmes like the Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Sahara Yojna, HIMCARE, and Mukhya Mantri Swabalamba Yojna bring positive improvements to the life of the average person.

He claimed that home power customers would receive 125 free units of electricity and that ladies would receive a 50% discount on bus prices in HRTC vehicles. He also said that by offering 10 promises, the leaders of the Congress had misled the populace.


In order for the pace of growth to continue steadily for the upcoming many years, he pleaded with the people of Karsog to support the current State Government wholeheartedly.
