Taking care of personal and menstrual hygiene is a basic thing to fight with Covid, says Aman Preet IRS, who is currently the Joint Director, Income Tax in Gurugram.

Aman Preet, who has also served Election Commission of India as Expenditure Observer during Legislative Assembly Elections, was engaged with various NGO’s in providing relief to the vulnerable sections of society. With the help of her batchmates, friends from various services, several NGO’s and good smartians, she has been able to distribute sanitary napkins and healthy menstrual products to around 21 lakh women pan India including the remotest and farthest districts of the country.

She says, “Personal hygiene includes menstrual hygiene for women,” and thus she has distributed self hygiene kits across Delhi slums and also to the patients of world’s largest Covid care centre, AY Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Chattarpur.

She was recently honoured with “Delhi ki Shaan” award by Honourable CM of Haryana at Media Awards and Media Mahamanthan that was held in Hotel Ashoka in Delhi by Bharat Prakashan (Delhi) Limited (BPDL) to mark 75 years of Organizer and Panchjanya.

For her exemplary work, she was also honoured by the Minister of Civil Aviation and Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri on Minority Day Celebration by National Commission for Minorities.

She was also honoured by Delhi Commission of women on Women ‘s day for her outstanding contribution to society.

She was also honoured by Bharat Youth Award on International Youths Day by Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel of India.

She has been an integral part of the Covid Response Team constituted by the Income tax officers to help the needy personnel of Dept and persons related to them in case of medical and other emergencies. The group has successfully coordinated and found out possible solutions for immediate intervention to the SOS calls received by various officers, and a lot many recovery cases have been reported by the department. Collecting revenue for the nation and helping people fight Covid is what she is doing these days.
