In the midst of continuous tensions and responses from several political heavyweights about murder of BJP Yuva Morcha worker Praveen Nettaru, victim’s mother called for the death sentence for perpetrators on Wednesday.
She further emphasised that without her son, there is no one to take care of them.
“I don’t feel good. His father likewise suffers from cardiac issues. The perpetrators must be punished, and they must be hung ” remarked mother of Nettaru.
Displeased mother said, “He intended to construct a house for us because he was our only son. Who will now construct it?”
Late on Tuesday night in Bellare in Dakshina Kannada, unidentified individuals on a bike assaulted Nettaru, a young BJP activist, with deadly weapons.
Earlier, Basavaraj Bommai, chief minister of Karnataka, gave victim’s family assurance that justice would be done and that those responsible for the horrible deed would not escape punishment.
Notably, on Tuesday night, in the state’s Dakshin Kannada district, Praveen Nettar, a member of Zilla BJP Yuva Morcha committee, was hacked to death. Three individuals riding bikes murdered Nettar in front of his broiler store in Bellare.
