Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary (CS) KS Jawahar Reddy has asked district collectors to begin the enumeration process in order to quantify the damage caused by Cyclone Mandous.

CS Jawahar Reddy has also directed that collectors visit the villages in the cyclone-affected districts on Saturday and Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, a teleconference was held with officials from the various agencies at the CS camp office discussing Cyclone Mandous.

Devotees visiting Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala encountered a variety of issues on Friday, ranging from impeded darshan to trouble getting accommodations, as Cyclone Mandous pounded the city.

According to reports, waterlogging in Tirumala’s low-lying regions, including the temple grounds, made it impossible for worshippers, notably the old and crippled, to commute from their accommodations.

Previously, nearly ten flights were cancelled at Chennai International Airport owing to bad weather conditions caused by Cyclone Mandous.
