A three-color party flag with the colours mustard, white, and blue was also unveiled. He also reiterated upon the logic of his party flag ‘White stands for peace, blue for depth.’
After leaving Congress, Azad declared the formation of his own political party with the goal of restoring complete statehood in his first public speech in Jammu.
He had stated that the party’s name and the flag will be chosen by the residents of Jammu & Kashmir. “In Urdu and Sanskrit, almost 1,500 names for my new party were provided to us. Hindustani is a language made up of Hindi and Urdu. According to Azad, we wanted the name to be democratic, peaceful, and independent.
He was the Chief Minister of J-K from 2005 until 2008.
He specifically called out Rahul Gandhi in his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi for the manner the party has been governed for the previous almost nine years.
