Earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hits Gujarat

The National Center for Seismology said that Gujarat's Surat had an earthquake on Thursday with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter Scale (NCS).

The movement of tectonic plates beneath the earth’s surface was noticed around 10:26 am, 61 kilometres southeast of Surat, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
