A small plane crashed into the electrical lines of Montgomery County in the US state of Maryland on Sunday night, cited local police.

The plane accident caused an outage that affected approximately 90,000 homes and businesses in Montgomery County, which is comparable to one-quarter of the county; nevertheless, no one was hurt in the event.

Montgomery County Police Department’s official Twitter handle posted, “A tiny plane collided with electrical wires at Rothbury Dr. and Goshen Rd, knocking off electricity to areas of the county. @mcfrs has arrived on the scene. PLEASE AVOID THE AREA AS LIVE WIRES REMAIN.”

The incident occurred near a business area owing to inclement weather, but the cause is yet unknown. According to one estimate, the plane may have impacted lines as high as ten floors above. Meanwhile, the plane crash inquiry is now continuing.
