The most awaited movie of 2026 will soon begin its final wait time. The first look of Nitesh Tiwari’s major film Ramayana will debut today in the first teaser called “Rama,” which releases on April 2, 2026.

The film will start its promotional activities on Hanuman Jayanti because this holy day brings special religious value to the launch. After a period of secret pre-production, which included unauthorized set image leaks, the production team will finally reveal Ranbir Kapoor in his sacred role as Lord Ram.

The teaser will be released during a major launch event, which will take place between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM IST to celebrate an important milestone in Indian cinema that reaches international audiences.

Cinematic Grandeur and Teaser Runtime

The first look presentation will provide more than a poster since it includes an official 2 minute and 38 second runtime teaser. The “Rama” preview has obtained a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate from the CBFC, which permits all age groups to watch it.

The Los Angeles private screening reports indicate that the teaser emphasizes the otherworldly transformation of Ranbir Kapoor. The film includes an emotional opening scene that shows Ram sitting on a boat while he gradually turns toward the camera after hearing his name called. The moment has been described by early viewers as visually poetic and emotionally charged.

Global Scale and Production Facts

The filmmakers plan to market their retelling as India’s response to major film series that include The Lord of the Rings after they spent about ₹4,000 crore ($500 million) to create their two-part film project.

The film achieves its top-notch sound experience through a historic partnership between Hans Zimmer, who is a legendary composer, and A.R. Rahman, who is known as the “Mozart of Madras.” The production uses advanced VFX and performance capture technology to create an authentic Valmiki-inspired narrative experience.

The Diwali 2026 theatrical release of Part 1 will be announced through today’s teaser, which also reveals the complete release schedule for the imminent IMAX distribution.
