In the midst of the political unrest in Maharashtra, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari wrote to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration to request information on the orders made from June 22 to June 25.

The change occurs after Praveen Darekar, the leader of the opposition, voiced her displeasure with the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra for making premature choices and issuing Government Resolutions (GRs).

According to a letter from his Principal Secretary Santosh Kumar, Governor Koshyari has requested full information on all GRs and circulars issued by the state government from June 22–24.

According to the letter, the governor has requested that all relevant background material regarding the general reports, circulars, and decisions made by the state government on these days be sent to him as required by Article 167 of the Constitution.

The government’s instructions for the release of hundreds of crores in funding for various development-related projects from June 22–24 were issued by the departments, which were primarily controlled by the ruling alliance’s NCP and Congress.

When cabinet minister Eknath Shinde arrived in Surat from Mumbai and subsequently departed for Guwahati with party MLAs backing him, the Shiv Sena, which leads the MVA government, had a revolt in its legislative ranks on June 21.
