In only 10 days, India Post has sold over one crore national flags through its 1.5 lakh post offices and online, the Ministry of Communications reported on Thursday.

“With its ubiquitous network of 1.5 lakh post offices, the Department of Posts (DoP) has brought the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative to every inhabitant of the country. In just ten days, India Post has sold over one million national flags to residents through post offices and online “According to the statement.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ will take place between August 13 and 15.

During his ‘Mann ki Baat,’ PM Narendra Modi asked people to hoist or display the national flag at their houses.

The Union Home Ministry informed the states that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has begun to urge people to fly the national flag at home. According to the statement, the action is intended to inspire patriotism in people’s hearts and to remember those who fought valiantly for nation-building.

The department has offered these flags for a price of 25.

“The Department has enabled free doorstep delivery to any location in the country for online sales; more than 1.75 lakh flags have been ordered online by residents using the ePost Office service. The postal service sells the tricolour for Rs 25 each “According to the government.

“Citizens may receive their National Flag by walking into the local Post Office or visiting the e-post office (epostoffice.gov.in) and become a part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Citizens may also take selfies with the flag and post them to www.harghartiranga.com to mark their involvement in New India’s grandest celebration “it was added.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign organised by Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to carry the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a Government of India program to celebrate and remember 75 years of independence, as well as the wonderful history of India’s people, culture, and achievements.

The initiative intends to motivate Indians all around the world to fly the national flag at home. The program’s goal is to make the relationship with the national flag more personal rather than merely formal or institutional.

The initiative’s goal is to instill patriotism in the hearts of the people and raise knowledge of tricolour.
