The incident happened on Thursday. The wounded people and the deceased belonged to the same family.
According to IMD prediction, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will likely see widespread rainfall, isolated heavy falls, and thunderstorms.
A two- to three-day rainy period was expected throughout northwest India, according to IMD.
Over 72 mm of rain fell in northern city throughout the night between Saturday and Sunday due to the storm.
Patiala was submerged by the rain as a number of trees fell as a result of the storm and rain, causing damage to several cars and structures. There were no casualties or injuries recorded.
Earlier on Wednesday, heavy rains lashed nation’s capital as well, sending the temperature down. In the Capital city, meteorological service has issued a yellow notice with a warning of moderate to severe rains. Beginning on Wednesday, the rains became more intense.
