A simulation drill to assess Covid’s emergency preparation will be held in hospitals around the country on Tuesday, December 27th.
“On Tuesday, December 27th, a mock exercise for an emergency response to deal with Covid 9 cases will be performed in hospitals throughout the nation, and the Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya will also be participating in the Mock drill,” stated government sources.
The practise is being held in anticipation of a Covid outbreak in the nation, following a spike in Covid cases recorded in China and other countries. In India, the Union Ministry has begun to take numerous proactive initiatives in this area.
Earlier on December 20, the Union Ministry of Health recommended states to dramatically enhance genome sequencing. The Union Health Minister on December 21 presided over a high-level meeting to examine the COVID-19 situation and the public health system’s readiness for COVID-19 monitoring, containment, and management.
However, Prime Minister on Thursday presided over a high-level meeting to evaluate status and preparation, and he warned against complacency, advocated strict vigilance, and underlined the need for stronger surveillance, with an emphasis on genome sequencing and greater testing.
