India saw a marginal dip in COVID-19 cases today, with 3,962 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.

After nearly three months, India’s daily total of COVID-19 cases surpassed 4,000 cases yesterday, with 4,041 infections recorded in the last 24 hours. With this, India’s active COVID caseload has increased to 22,416, accounting for 0.05% of the country’s total positive cases.

The health ministry announced today that the daily positivity rate was 0.77 percent in the last 24 hours, and the weekly positivity rate was 0.89 percent.

The overall number of recoveries has now reached 4,26,25,454 after 2,697 recoveries in the last 24 hours. India’s current recovery rate is 98.73 percent.

India conducted 4,45,814 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry. According to data from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the country has done 85.22 crore (85,22,09,788) total tests.

So date, the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has administered more than 193.96 crore (1,93,96,47,071) vaccine doses.

“This was accomplished through 2,47,05,065 sessions,” according to the Ministry.

On March 16, 2022, COVID-19 immunization for children aged 12 to 14 years began. The first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination has been given to more than 3.43 million (3,43,23,522) teenagers thus far.
