Union Health Ministry stated 8,582 new COVID-19 infections were detected in India in the last 24 hours

According to the Union Health Ministry, 8,582 new COVID-19 infections were detected in India in the last 24 hours.

As infections spread, India’s active COVID caseload has risen to 44,513, accounting for 0.06 percent of the country’s total positive cases. With 3,16,179 COVID-19 tests completed in the last 24 hours, the daily positivity rate has been recorded at 2.71 percent. Also mentioned was a weekly positive rate of 2.02 percent.

In the previous 24 hours, 4,435 patients have recovered from COVID infection. Meanwhile, 3,16,179 tests were conducted, according to the government.

The Nationwide Vaccination Drive has resulted in the administration of 195.07 billion vaccine doses across India.

Earlier on Saturday, a total of 8,329 additional Coronavirus cases were reported in a 24-hour period, bringing the overall number of deaths from the disease to 5,24,757.
