On Wednesday, the Union government introduced the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha, triggering heated attacks from the Opposition. The bill has been introduced by Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, seeks to position India’s dynamic but turbulent online gaming industry within a serious regulatory framework.
