The Telangana BJP has come down heavily on the Congress party over its latest campaign, accusing it of misleading people with “false slogans.” State BJP Chief Spokesperson N V Subhash on Tuesday alleged that the Congress party’s “Vote Adhikar Yatra” is nothing but an attempt to deceive the public for political gains.

Speaking in Hyderabad, Subhash said Congress has a long history of “appeasement politics,” especially towards Muslims, and is now attempting to misguide citizens with the slogan of “vote chori” (stolen votes). He claimed the Gandhi family-led party has always worked against the interests of Hindus and cited Rahul Gandhi’s recent yatra as proof of its alleged anti-Hindu stance.

“Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the yatra, skipped his scheduled visit to the Hanuman temple in Gaya, Bihar. This clearly reflects the Congress party’s anti-Hindu policy,” Subhash alleged. He argued that the Congress, which ruled India for decades, clandestinely damaged the interests of the majority community and is now being exposed before the people.

Taking a dig at the opposition, Subhash remarked that Congress leaders “have no patience to accept defeat.” According to him, whenever they lose elections, they blame Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, alleging either EVM tampering or raising new slogans like “vote chori.”

Subhash questioned the Congress’s credibility on its allegations of “stolen votes,” asking why the party has no complaints in states where it has won elections. “What is the Congress party’s opinion in Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh, where it captured power? Were those votes not genuine?” he asked.

The BJP leader further accused Congress of trying to “murder democracy” by creating false narratives. He asserted that the people of India are now aware of the Congress’s “real nature” and will not be misled by its slogans.

“The Congress is running out of issues and is resorting to cheap tricks to stay relevant,” Subhash said, adding that the BJP will continue to expose the party’s double standards before the nation.
