According to the Delhi Police, a fugitive Iranian national who had been fooling people by pretending to be a police officer was apprehended in Greater Kailash.

The defendant has been identified as Aslam Khan. An army cap, a police cap, two automobiles with phoney licence plates, and six bogus licence plates for separate vehicles were all found by the police.

Earlier on Saturday, Police stated that a case was recorded at Police Station Greater Kailash on the complaint of a lady alleging deception by four people who impersonated police officials and stole 3,000 Euros from her handbag.

Further Police officials stated that two suspects in the case of cheating, Mohd. Unus and Mohd. Gulam Behrami (both of whom are Iranian nationals), were already detained during the first investigation. However, a squad has been assembled to apprehend the remaining suspects.

Technical monitoring was set up, and information and a photo of the fugitive defendant, Aslam Khan @ Yusuf, were gathered and sent across the police network to determine his locations.

Mohd. Unus and Mohd. Gulam Behrami, who had already been apprehended as suspects, were subjected to prolonged questioning in an effort to uncover any information. The police reported that many raids were carried out on alleged hiding places.

Meanwhile, Aslam admitted to his participation in the case after his detention on December 2.
