Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launches a PSLV-C54 rocket carrying EOS-06 today

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched a PSLV-C54 rocket carrying EOS-06, also known as Oceansat-3, and eight nanosatellites from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota on Saturday.

PSLV-C54 was launched from Sriharikota’s First Launch Pad (FLP) at 11.56 a.m. in a two-hour multi-orbit launch operation. PSLV-primary C54’s cargo was the EOS-06. However, it will be separated in Orbit-1.

In a statement issued by ISRO, “Following that, an orbit shift is planned utilising two Orbit ChangeThrusters (OCTs) installed in the PSLV-C54 Vehicle’s Propulsion Bay Ring. In Orbit-2, the Passenger Payloads (PPLs) will be separated.”

This is the 56th mission of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the 24th flight of PSLV-XL variant, which includes six PSOM-XL satellites.
