Police detected multiple barrel gunfire in the Balakot region of Jammu & Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday.
A 12-bore gun was used to fire the rounds. The officials hurried to the scene of the event and assessed the automobile and adjacent surroundings that had been damaged by the shooting.
“It is possible that the 12 bore shots were aimed at wild animals engaged in destroying maize crop. The site of the incident is still under investigation,” said Poonch Police.
Further investigations are underway.
