Dr. S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, paid a visit to Ima Market in Imphal on Sunday. A visit by Jaishankar to Manipur is scheduled for November 26–28.

The Northeast’s infrastructure and connections are being improved, according to Dr. S. Jaishankar earlier on Saturday. Jaishankar tweeted, “Assured that we are striving to strengthen connection within the Northeast and to the broader globe; and broaden its access to global markets and workplace,” emphasising how crucial it is to do so since it will serve as a gateway to the rest of the world.

Jaishankar attended an interactive session on Saturday night at Classic Grande when he was in Imphal, the capital of Manipur.

In a tweet “It was a pleasure to speak with Imphal’s business community this afternoon. The Modi administration is giving the development of the North East, particularly Manipur, top attention. Both resources and attention show it.”

The G20 presidency of India would be commemorated across the nation, including Manipur, according to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

“Our future G20 Presidency will promote the Northeast to the globe, with attendant tourist benefits,” he said. The Ministry of External Affairs and the Confederation of Indian Industries jointly organised the interactive session that Jaishankar attended (CII).

Notably, India will take up the G20 chairmanship on December 1 for a full year. With the aim of assuring global economic development and prosperity, India will host over 200 sessions.
