After terrorists started shooting on Saturday near Chowdari Gund in Shopian, one civilian succumbed to death.
A Kashmiri Pandit named Puran Krishan Bhat has been identified as the dead. The wounded person was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
“While Puran Krishan Bhat, a member of the minority Puran community, was travelling to an orchard in Chowdari Gund, Shopian, terrorists opened fire on him. He was taken right away to the hospital for treatment, where he passed away “Jammu and Kashmir police said.
The area has been blocked off, and a search is now underway, according to the police.
