Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, arrived at the Vadodara airport in Gujarat to cries of “Modi-Modi.”
Later, “Kejriwal-Kejriwal” chanting could also be heard. Kejriwal will speak at a town hall gathering in Vadodara while in Gujarat, a state that is preparing for elections.
Kejriwal could be seen grinning as he moved toward the media after hearing his political rival and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name being chanted.
He declined to comment at the time, saying instead that he would do so during the news conference.
BJP member Priti Gandhi tweeted in response to the event, “Arvind Kejriwal being afforded a warm welcome in Modi’s Gujarat!!”
The AAP wants to enter Gujarat after being unable to do so during the last Assembly elections. The party wants to grow throughout the nation after achieving a significant victory in Punjab.
Kejriwal has visited Gujarat on several occasions in an effort to connect with the people there, criticising the BJP’s 27-year dominance and praising the Delhi model while pledging to put it into practise if his party wins the next election.
Kejriwal has made a number of “guarantees” to the residents of the state that he believes would be kept.
The AAP leader had said that the BJP was attempting to “succeed” Prime Minister Narendra Modi by making Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi the “Prime Minister through the backdoor” during his visit to Ahmedabad on September 13.
In response to a query on BJP officials’ claims that social activist Medha Patkar will represent the AAP as the chief ministerial candidate in the Gujarat assembly elections.
“I’ve heard that the BJP would choose Sonia Gandhi to replace PM Modi as their nominee.
Find out their thoughts on this by asking them. Ask them about Kejriwal’s allegations that Sonia Gandhi would be your choice for prime minister and will succeed PM Modi on a national level. What are their thoughts on this? Sonia Gandhi is being pushed to become the nation’s prime minister by the BJP. Ask them this, Kejriwal has previously urged.
According to Kejriwal, the BJP “has not done anything” for Gujarat’s growth and has “no agenda for the next five years.”
In Gujarat, according to Kejriwal, the Congress party is “done.”
“The Congress is over. Stop answering their inquiries immediately. In answer to a question, Kejriwal replied, “People no longer care about their questions.
