Let the court and constitution decide: Nadda on Gyanvapi

After the Ram temple conflict in Ayodhya was officially decided in favour of the Hindu side, Nadda was asked if the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi and the Shahi Idgah in Mathura were on the BJP's radar.
J.P. Nadda, the BJP’s president, stated on Monday that things like the Gyanvapi and Shahi Idgah scandals will be decided by “court and Constitution,” appearing to strategically separate the party in public from the type of polarising issue that drives its electoral narrative.
“These issues are decided by the court and the Constitution. The BJP implements it (court orders) in letter and spirit,” Nadda said to a question during a news conference.

Members and supporters of the Sangh parivar have filed various court lawsuits requesting the transfer of these two mosques to Hindus, saying they were erected after demolishing Hindu temples and igniting a campaign comparable to the Ayodhya movement of the 1980s and 1990s.
Nadda stated that the BJP had not embraced any such topic as an official agenda item, with the exception of the Ram Janmabhoomi issue. At its national executive conference in Palampur in 1989, the BJP formally accepted the Ram temple issue.
According to a lawyer for the petitioner ladies, the Varanasi District Court has postponed hearing on the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee’s request challenging the maintainability of a complaint brought by Hindu women until July 4.
The case has been postponed till July 4, according to Hindu women’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain. The matter was heard for around two hours by Varanasi District Judge AK Vishvesha. Only attorneys and plaintiffs involved in the case are permitted to attend and participate in the proceeding.
