Kangana Ranaut is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi Mosque conflict.

Kangana Ranaut paid a visit to Varanasi on Wednesday ahead of the release of her film Dhaakad. Her co-stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta were also there for the visit. Following the darshan, Kangana was swarmed by reporters who questioned her about the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi Mosque conflict that is now raging in India.

A Varanasi court ordered the closing of a pond in the Gyanvapi Masjid complex on Monday after lawyers for Hindu petitioners claimed a Shivling was discovered there during the court-ordered videography survey. A member of the mosque administration committee, on the other hand, refuted the story, claiming that the object was part of the water fountain mechanism at the ‘wazookhana’ reservoir, where worshipers do ablutions before performing namaz. The mosque is near to Varanasi’s famed Kashi Vishwanath temple, and a court there is hearing a petition from a group of women requesting permission to worship daily before the idols on the mosque’s outside walls.

“There’s Lord Krishna in every particle of Mathura and Lord Ram in every particle of Ayodhya,” Kangana remarked. Similarly, Lord Shiva can be found in every atom of Kashi. He doesn’t require a structure because he is present in every particle.”

Kangana Ranaut frequently shares her fiery opinion on national and societal topics on her Instagram feed and in talks with the media. She recently added to the controversy over whether Hindi is the national language, even defending Mahesh Babu’s allegation that Bollywood can’t pay him. She stated, “I agree with him (Babu) that Bollywood cannot afford him (with). Many directors have approached him, I know for a fact.”

“His generation is responsible for making Telugu cinema the most popular in India. He can no longer be supported by Bollywood. “I don’t see why this has become such a big deal,” Kangana stated. “He (Babu) has only showed a great deal of respect for his profession, and we can’t deny that Telugu films have improved over the previous 10-15 years… Nothing was served to them on a silver platter. She stated, “We only have a lot to learn from them.”
