Andhra Police arrested a man on Saturday for reportedly hurling his three-month-old infant to death in the Water House Colony near Srikalahasti Shukabrahma Ashram in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

According to police, locals stated the father was reportedly enraged by child’s weeping and resorted to the deed.

According to Circle Inspector Srikalahasti, the dead kid’s parents, Anil and Swathi, had an altercation during which the father tossed his three-month-old infant, Nikhil, on the ground. Anil was evidently enraged since the feverish child was already wailing.

“Since being unwell four days ago, the youngster has not stopped weeping. Anil ordered his wife Swathi to take Nikhil to the hospital, but they soon began arguing, and he tossed their kid on the ground. The youngster died after hitting his head on the ground ” added locals.

Locals quickly phoned police, who transported the boy to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Circle Inspector, the infant’s body was removed for a postmortem, and Anil was arrested in the meanwhile.

A case will be filed on the subject, and subsequent processes would be initiated, he stated.
