Man in UP threatened after denouncing the incident in Udaipur

In a TV debate when he also spoke out against the Udaipur event, he was threatened with terrible repercussions by an unknown caller to his mobile phone.
According to authorities, Mohammad Kausar Hasan Majidi, the president of the Sufi Khanqah Association in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, received a phone call threatening him with terrible repercussions for criticising the Udaipur event and going on the attack against the Sunni Islamic group “Dawat-e-Islami.”
Majidi had filed a complaint with the Juhi police station asking for an investigation into Dawat-e-operations Islami’s in Kanpur.

According to the police, they are investigating into Majidi’s allegation in relation to the situation.
Majidi had previously filed a complaint with the office of the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2021 demanding an investigation into the activities of Dawat-e-Islami in Kanpur.
“The police are looking into his (Majidi’s) accusation and action would be done as per the evidence,” said joint commissioner of police Anand Prakash Tiwari.
Concerns have been raised about the Dawat-e-Islami organization’s activity in Kanpur and its potential linkages to similar organisations with headquarters in Pakistan.
After it was discovered that one of the two terrorists responsible for the attack in Udaipur had contact with Dawat-e-Islami in Pakistan, suspicions were aroused about the existence of the organisation in Kanpur.
