People in Budgam asked that the LG speak to them at another protest.

“We’ve been sitting here quietly protesting since yesterday. He must come here and speak to us. We had issued a deadline. Sticks were used to beat us. We were calmly protesting when they attacked us “a demonstrator stated.

“Couldn’t the Administration have apprehended the terrorist yesterday if they can lathi-charge and tear gas the public?” asked another demonstrator, Aparna Pandit.

In Anantnag, members of the Kashmiri Pandit Employees Association held a protest seeking justice. They also demanded that they be relocated safely.

Sandeep Bhat said, “We beg the government to re-locate us to regions where we feel rehabilitated.”

People in Sheikhpora threatened mass resignations if security was not given.

Amit, a Kashmiri Pandit, stated “If the LG administration does not provide us with protection, we would mass quit from our positions.”
