Jammu and Kashmir administration has given former Jammu and Kashmir President Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti with a notice to evacuate the government quarter she is occupying in south Kashmir’s Anantnag District, authorities said.

Former CM on Saturday was handed with a notice to leave quarter number 7 at Housing Colony Khanabal within 24 hours. “You are requested to evacuate the quarter under reference within 24 hours, failing which action justified by law would be taken against you,” stated Deputy Commissioner Anantnag in his notification.

Earlier on October 20, former Jammu and Kashmir President Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti stated that she had been served with a notice to quit her Fairview property in Srinagar, which acted as her official government housing.

Mufti has been offered an alternative home in Srinagar, according to reports.

Soon after the state was turned into a Union Territory in 2019, all past J-K chief ministers’ promised life-term privileges were likewise abolished.
