Four were killed in an incident in Ukraine’s Kherson. Following this, Russia accused Kyiv of carrying out HIMARS missiles provided by the US to target civilians fleeing the annexation zone.
As his military tries to hold onto territory in the face of Ukrainian advances, this comes two days after Russian President Vladimir Putin said martial law will be implemented in four areas of Ukraine that he unlawfully acquired last month.
Kherson deputy governor Kirill Stremousov who was placed by Russia said that Ukrainian soldiers “launched a missile strike on a civilian crossing.”
However, an incident was admitted where a Ukrainian official claimed it took place after a curfew for civilians. He made no mention of the tools that were employed.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was declared that martial law will be imposed in four regions of Ukraine. According to Russia, it seized these four Ukraine territories last month.
Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia are the four territories that Russia now occupies. These remarks by Putin were made at a security council meeting.
