U.S. Polo Assn., the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA), has introduced His Highness Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh (Pacho) of Jaipur, India, as its latest Global Brand Ambassador.

Sawai Padmanabh Singh belongs to the Royal Family of Jaipur and currently holds the title of Maharaja of Jaipur. Besides his royal duties, Singh is also a skilled polo player who has represented and led the Indian National Team in various tournaments worldwide. His polo career has taken him to competitions in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and many other countries.

Pacho’s dedication and zeal for polo have contributed significantly to its widespread popularity, extending its appeal beyond the confines of the field. As a result, polo tournaments in Jaipur now attract visitors from all corners of the globe. With the esteemed backing of the Rajasthan Polo Club, Singh remains committed to promoting and preserving this distinguished and age-old sport.

“It’s an honor to be selected as Global Brand Ambassador for U.S. Polo Assn., a brand that is so popular and respected in my home country of India and so authentic to the sport of polo,” said His Highness, Padmanabh Singh, Maharaja of Jaipur. “I look forward to representing the brand with great enthusiasm at sporting and fashion events and on social media for fans and consumers around the world!”

Pacho’s role as Global Brand Ambassador encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at showcasing talented polo players and promoting the brand’s authenticity worldwide. He will represent U.S. Polo Assn. by wearing their apparel and performance gear both during polo matches and in everyday life. Additionally, Pacho will share insights into his polo-related activities and daily life on social media platforms, participate in sporting and fashion events representing the brand, and fulfill media requests for interviews and campaigns.

“U.S. Polo Assn. is proud to welcome Pacho to our outstanding roster of Global Brand Ambassadors,” said J. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global, which manages the multi-billion-dollar U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “U.S. Polo Assn. is a brand that spans 190 countries, including more than 400 brand stores in India alone, and Pacho is a perfect representative of a global polo player that encompasses what our sport-inspired brand is all about – global, vibrant, authentic, and exciting.”

U.S. Polo Assn. is set to introduce a Capsule Collection featuring refined polo shirts, white sports trousers, oxfords, and sport-inspired accessories, inspired by Pacho, which he will endorse as a Global Brand Ambassador for U.S. Polo Assn.

His Highness brings to U.S. Polo Assn. his exemplary sportsmanship and unique style, which he showcases both on and off the field.

Pacho holds a deep passion for polo and has represented India in tournaments across the globe. He was appointed Captain of the Indian National Polo Team in 2022. His polo journey commenced during his schooling in the U.K., where he became a member of the esteemed Guards Polo Club and competed at various levels. Pacho has achieved victories in nearly every significant polo tournament in India and holds the distinction of being the youngest player to win the India Open.

He is actively involved in promoting polo in Jaipur through various initiatives such as high-goal tournaments, Ladies’ Polo, and Junior Polo. Recently, he has revitalized the esteemed Jaipur Polo Team to uphold the illustrious legacy of his family’s dedication to the sport. The Jaipur Polo Team, once esteemed as one of the world’s finest, enjoyed unparalleled success, clinching victory in every major polo tournament, including the 1957 World Cup in Deauville, France.

As the patron of the Rajasthan Polo Club, Pacho has implemented several training programs aimed at providing young athletes with the opportunity to learn horseback riding and polo at affordable rates, including specialized programs for girls. Thanks to Pacho’s initiatives, each polo season now features low-goal tournaments, Ladies’ Polo events, and the Out of Hat series, providing aspiring young players with opportunities to participate and promoting greater inclusivity in a sport often perceived as elitist. Consequently, unlike other polo centers, Jaipur attracts polo enthusiasts from diverse demographics, encouraged by His Highness through free access to polo club games for all spectators.

The popularity of U.S. Polo Assn. in India has surged alongside the country’s population, positioning India as the global brand’s fastest-growing market. This remarkable increase in popularity and market share is the result of concerted efforts, which encompass a strategy that emphasizes both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce, along with comprehensive brand marketing efforts through storytelling.

“We are excited to welcome HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh’s sportsmanship, elegance, and style to U.S. Polo Assn. as we embark on this exciting partnership with him as our brand ambassador. His dedication to the sport and its timeless values align perfectly with our commitment to authenticity. As U.S. Polo Assn.’s brand ambassador, his influence will elevate our brand’s presence on the Indian as well as the global stage,” said Amitabh Suri, CEO of U.S. Polo Assn. India.
