According to authorities, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted various searches on Monday against alleged “terror groups” connected to the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala in Delhi, the National Capital Region (NCR), Haryana, and Punjab.

In the case recently registered by the counter-terror agency to begin an investigation against specific terror networks, NIA personnel performed these searches concurrently in collaboration with local police forces. According to a senior government official who spoke to the media on anonymity, “Raids are ongoing at numerous places in Delhi, NCR, Punjab, and Haryana in a case recently launched against certain terror gangs.”

According to the official, these gang members were involved in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district by unidentified gunmen, one day after the state government reduced his security protection.

The NIA is keeping an eye out for the involvement of gang boss Lawrence Bishnoi, who emerged as the mastermind behind the murder of the musician, and mobster Goldy Brar, a Canadian-based member of Bishnoi’s inner circle. Currently, Bishnoi is detained at the Tihar Jail.

Vijay Singla of the AAP beat Congress candidate Moose Wala in the most recent assembly election from the Mansa assembly seat. In the Mansa district’s Jawaharke hamlet, a 28-year-old Punjabi singer was shot at point-blank range and was pronounced dead when she arrived at the Mansa civic hospital.

According to estimates, Moose Wala was shot around 30 times and was found slumped in the driver’s seat by the villagers.

Three people, including two shooters, were detained by the Delhi Police in June in relation to the murder of Moose Wala.

According to the Delhi Police, the suspects were named as Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, Kashish (24), a resident of the same district as Sonipat in the state, and Keshav Kumar (29), a resident of Bhatinda in Punjab.

According to the authorities, Priyavrat oversaw a group of shooters and was in contact with Brar until the event.

In June, the Punjab Police also reported the arrests of 10 suspects, including the primary conspirator Lawrence Bishnoi.
