Mahi Singh Seeks Donation For Brand New iPhone 17 Pro Max (Photo: X)
The person who has caused an uproar on social media is a self-proclaimed beauty queen who was born in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, and requested people to contribute to her to purchase the recently released iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The influencer, known as Mahi Singh, with a small fan base, presented herself as the Beauty Queen of Lakhimpur in a viral video and requested her audience to donate to her dream phone.
Mahi Singh is heard in the clip telling how she wants to upgrade her iPhone to the new 17 series which has just been released in the market.
She further revealed that her father had recently brought her a phone of the 16 series, where she was taking the video. According to her, her father will not be providing her another phone any time soon. She also encouraged her followers to help her financially to have the new model iPhone, which cost almost 1.6 lakh in India.
The video has since become viral and not due to the causes that Singh might have expected. Netizens broke out into an outcry condemning her as having made an entitled demand. Some of them justified her right to request claiming that it was a choice of people whether to donate or not.
One user commented, “Pura YouTube crowdfunding, superchat se crorepati banata hai. Ek garib karta hai to problem ho jati hai. Pure din amir katora lekar superchat mangte hain, woh nahi dikhta. Ajeeb double standard wale log hain yaar.”
Another stated, “2 lakhs k phone k saath ek car bhi chahiye hoga, kuiki phone lekar paidal chalogi to accha nhi lagega, phone k image ghat jayega, Car k liye bhi 10,20,50 aur 100 karke apne bhakto se manglo..
An individual called it, ‘online bheekh,’ as another stated, “Ye iska sapna hai bhai….kya hi generation yar….. matlab Sapna to ye hona chaiye tha is umar me ki apne paise se maa baap k sapne pure kare aur ye ladki ka sapna hai iphone wo bhi khud k paise se nhi donation bolo ya bheekh bolo us paise se … agar padhai ki Hoti ya Koi job.”
One person commented, “Ise hi Sab mangne Lage to Fir to Sabke pass iPhone ho jaega,” and another added, “Digital bhikhmange.”
