According to the BSF, the invader, named as Safdar Hussain, 39, of Pakistan's Bahawalnagar area, was shot below the waist after defying the sentry's caution.

On the 14th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai assault, the Border Security Force (BSF) repelled a Pakistani penetration attempt on the Srikaranpur border region in Rajasthan on Saturday.

According to the BSF, the invader, named as Safdar Hussain, 39, of Pakistan’s Bahawalnagar area, was shot below the waist after defying the sentry’s caution.

After questioning, the invader was turned over to the Pakistan Rangers.

Earlier on Saturday, security personnel deployed at Daoke Border Outpost (BoP) in the Amritsar sector of the India-Pakistan international border fired six rounds from their INSAS rifles and downed a drone after hearing the sound of a suspected flying object coming from the Pakistani side around 9.05 p.m. on Friday.
