In advance of the QUAD Leaders’ Summit, which will take place in Sydney this month, the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation plans to hold a lavish community celebration in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A day before the Quad Leaders’ Summit, which is slated for May 24, PM Modi will attend the event in Sydney on May 23.
“The event, which will be held on May 23, aims to provide the large and growing Indian diaspora of Australia with an opportunity to listen to our beloved leader, the Prime Minister of India,” the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation (IADF) said.
Over 20,000 members have already registered to attend the event, which has already received an overwhelming response from the IADF. In order to participate in the reception as welcoming partners, more than 300 diaspora organisations from varied social, cultural, linguistic, business, professional, and religious backgrounds have registered.
“We have seen grand events take place whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels overseas and the Indian diaspora is excited to have him in their midst. This event in Sydney is expected to be no different as there is a huge excitement among the locals to welcome the most popular leader worldwide,” Vijay Chauthaiwale who heads the BJP Foreign Affairs Department told ANI.
The grand event for the prime minister will feature cultural performances, singing, and dancing to highlight India’s rich cultural legacy and how it is thriving in these nations thanks to the Indian population there. For those gathered there, PM Modi’s address is still the event’s most anticipated moment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Japan and Papua New Guinea prior to his trip to Australia to attend the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation Summit and the G7 summit, respectively.
A nonprofit organisation called the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation was founded with the purpose of highlighting and promoting the rich Indian culture in Australia. It offers a venue for the Australian Indian diaspora to interact, network, and promote cultural and neighbourhood events.
