The Deaflympics 2021 were held at the Festa da Uva Main Pavilion in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. Around 2,100 athletes from 72 countries competed in the quadrennial event, which began on May 1 and ended on May 15.

India sent 65 athletes to compete in 11 sports and won 16 medals, including eight gold, one silver, and seven bronze. This was the country’s highest showing at the Deaflympics.
