On November 19, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, according to a press statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Arunachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh on November 19.

The 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station will be dedicated to the Nation at roughly 9:30 AM, and the Prime Minister will also officially open Donyi Polo Airport near Itanagar. After that, according to the press release, he will go to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where he would open the “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” at roughly 2:00 PM.

The Prime Minister will officially open Donyi Polo Airport, Itanagar, the first greenfield airport in Arunachal Pradesh, as a crucial step toward improving connectivity in the Northeast. The airport’s name pays homage to Arunachal Pradesh’s customs, rich cultural legacy, and long-standing indigenous veneration of the Sun (donyi) and the Moon (polo).

The airport, which is Arunachal Pradesh’s first new airport, was built on a site of more than 690 acres at a cost of more than Rs 640 crore. The airport is designed for all-weather day operations with a 2,300-meter runway. The airport terminal is a cutting-edge structure that supports resource recycling, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

The construction of a new airport in Itanagar would help the region’s economic development by increasing connectivity and serving as a stimulus for the expansion of trade and tourism.

The 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station will also be dedicated to the country by the Prime Minister during the programme. The project in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng District, built at a cost of more than Rs 8,450 crore, will make the state a power surplus state and improve the National Grid in terms of grid stability and integration. The country’s pledge to enhance the use of green energy will be significantly furthered by the completion of this project.
