PM Modi Unveils 6.5M Tall Ashokan Pillar at Central Vista Project

The 6.5-meter-tall emblem is composed of bronze and weighs a total of 9500 kg. It has been cast at the top of the new Parliament building's Central Foyer.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the national emblem cast on the roof of the new Parliament building on Monday.
The 6.5-meter-tall emblem is composed of bronze and weighs a total of 9500 kg. It has been cast at the top of the new Parliament building’s Central Foyer.
To sustain the emblem, a steel support structure weighing around 6500 kg has been built.
Eight various steps of preparation, from clay modelling and computer graphics to bronze casting and polishing, went into the concept drawing and casting process for the national emblem that will be displayed on the top of the new Parliament building.
The PM also interacted with the workers involved in the work of the new Parliament.
Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla and Minister of Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri were also present.
