Ranji Trophy 2022: Sarfaraz scores 153 off 205 deliveries, creating history in Mumbai vs Uttarakhand quarter-final

Sarfaraz Khan struck 153 from 205 deliveries for Mumbai against Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy 2022, raising his season total to 700 runs in just four matches.
In the Ranji Trophy, Sarfaraz Khan, a 24-year-old Mumbai batter, picked up where he left off before the Indian Highest League, scoring his 7th century in the premier domestic first-class tournament. Mumbai are in the lead in their quarter-final encounter against Uttarakhand at Alur Cricket Stadium 2 in Bengaluru on Tuesday, thanks to Sarfaraz’s 153 and rookie Suved Parkar’s maiden hundred.
Since the start of the 2019-20 season, Safaraz Khan has been in sensational form in the Ranji Trophy. In 2019-20, the Mumbai batsman was the best in the league, hitting 928 runs in six matches, including a 301-run knock. In that campaign, Sarfaraz had a 154.66 average for Mumbai.
In the quarter-final, Sarfaraz tore into the Uttarakhand bowlers as early as Day 1 and continued to pummel the attack on Day 2, getting to his 7th first-class hundred. Sarfaraz finished with 153 from 205 deliveries, scoring a boundary in every 2 overs he faced. Safaraz hit 4 sixes and 14 boundaries in a blistering knock for Mumbai.
Sarfaraz has scored 704 runs in four matches in season of the Ranji Trophy, including three hundreds.
Sarfaraz’s first seven hundreds have all been scores of more over 150, making him the only batter in the history of the sport to achieve this feat.
