However, a Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice NV Ramana directed that some words made against Cyrus Mistry in the top court's March 26, 2021 judgement be removed.
The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the Shapoorji Pallonji (SP) group’s request for a rehearing of the Tata Group’s decision to remove Cyrus Mistry as executive chairman of Tata Sons last year. Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, expressed his “grateful appreciation” to the Supreme Court for its decision shortly after.
He tweeted, “We would like to convey our profound thanks for the Supreme Court’s judgement granted and affirmed.” The order, according to the experienced industrialist, “reinforces” the judiciary’s value system and ethics.
