According to media reports, documents revealed a direct financial link between accused Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee. According to the reports, Mukherjee purchased 18 homes between 2011 and 2022 with the money found from her apartment despite her denials that it belonged to her.
According to the sources, Chatterjee and Mukherjee jointly purchased one of the numerous properties. The property is in dispute, a 7,300 square-foot plot of land in Birbhum that the Chatterjee-Mukherjee team bought in 2012.
Two of Mukherjee’s houses have already been raided by the ED. Raids on Mukherjee’s Diamond City home in Tollygunge, South Kolkata, led to the seizure of 2 kilograms of gold jewelry and Rs 20 crore in cash in Indian and foreign currencies. On the northern outskirts of Kolkata, in Belgharia, a residence was raided and 6 kilograms of gold and cash worth Rs. 27.90 crores were found.
Arpita, Chatterjee’s close aide, stated that the money taken by ED from her residences did not belong to her and had been kept there while she was away. “The money is not mine; it was held there while I was away,” she claimed.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) had discovered more than Rs 50 crores in her residences in Kolkata.
Former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, and his aide Arpita Mukherjee are flashing in headlines their involvement in the multi-crore SSC recruitment scam case.
