Mumbai-based restaurateur and businessman Aditya Wanwari is 28 years old but has achieved a big feat in his career. He founded Toast Inc., where he owns several prominent restaurants. Initially, Aditya worked as a DJ. But a few years ago, he became interested in the F&B and hospitality sectors and decided to seek a career in the same.

Like any other individual, Aditya admits he had second thoughts about transitioning from his exciting career as a DJ to starting his own business. But his passion was bigger than his apprehensions. So he took the plunge and decided to start Toast Inc.

The name of Aditya Wanwari’s restaurants in Mumbai is Donna Deli, Baodim, Foodlez, Shy, and Demy, among others. Each restaurant stands out for various reasons. His eateries give the relaxation and quality many customers expect. He knows how important it is to keep the people happy as that results in good word of mouth and more people visiting the restaurants.

Today, ‘Instagrammable Cafes’ have become a popular term. People go out not only to eat but also to click some good food pics or peculiar interiors. When Aditya Wanwari was asked about his thoughts on it and what steps he has taken to make his restaurants look super appealing, he shared, “People nowadays do not go out just to eat and drink . They want a much more wholesome experience. The social media era is giving restaurants a big boost as it’s the main marketing tool for restaurants. One viral video can change the faith of your restaurant and can put you on the world map. Example: Salt bae! Food is now clicked, uploaded and then consumed.”

He added, “Aesthetics are very very important. People want to go to a place with a “vibe.” The product itself comes much later in the list. First a restaurant is graded on its vibe, look and feel and aesthetics and then the food. Interior designers are making a lot of efforts in designing the place and put more attention on a “photo op wall” so that people can come visit, click photos and upload them and tag the venue with the Photo Booth.”
