Enforcement Directorate petitioned the Principal District and Sessions Court of Rouse Avenue Courts on Thursday, requesting the transfer of a money laundering case involving Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain. The court delayed its decision on the plea.

After extensive discussions from both parties, Principal District and Sessions Judge Vinay Kumar Gupta today reserved the order. Enforcement Directorate had requested that the case be assigned to a different judge. Prior to that, Special Judge Geetanjali Goel handled the case.

Supreme Court has ordered Rouse Avenue Court to consider the Enforcement Directorate’s request to move Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain’s bail hearing on Thursday. Yesterday.

ASG SV Raju said that fake medical reports were used in an attempt to get medical bail during the ED’s arguments. The court made no decisions. As a Minister, he has also been in charge of the Delhi Prisons and is able to wield authority, wealth, and influence.

“Jain was also the jail minister. He spent the most of his judicial custody time in the hospital, and the medical report that was provided was false. We provided the court with all of the documentation, but nothing occurred,” ASG Raju said.

Senior Attorney Kapil Sibal testified on behalf of Satyendar Jain, saying that no violations were found as he was being transferred to LNJP Hospital in accordance with the jail rules. It was okay when the same judge gave Satyendar Jain remand.

After the ED requested that the case be transferred on the last date of hearing, the judge delayed Satyendar Jain’s trial and gave notice to all defendants.

Earlier on Saturday, the ED filed a motion with the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Rouse Avenue Court requesting that the money laundering case against Satyendar Jain be assigned to a different judge.

After making several claims regarding the bail defences that the court is now considering, the ED petition requested that Special Judge Geetanjali Goel take over the case involving Delhi Cabinet Minister Satyendar Jain.
