A Shivling was discovered in the Gyanvapi Mosque after the inspection of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple-Gyanvapi Mosque complex in Varanasi was completed, sources stated on Monday.

The Shivlinga was spotted on Sunday itself by the survey team but since 8-12 PM timeline was over therefore, it was decided that survey team will return on Monday to check it properly, sources added.

When the mosque committee was asked to empty the Wazukhana water tank, initially they objected to the demand. Later on, they agreed. Later, when the water level was reduced, Shivlinga appeared clearly. However, the mosque committee told the survey team it was not a Shivlinga but a simple fountain.

When team members checked carefully, the fountain had no pipes, no machines, etc that could make it run. Also, how can a fountain be completely submerged in water?

A detailed photography and videography was done of the same Shivlinga.

Also, clues have been found of another Shivlinga beneath the Dome, sources told NewsX.

The Shivlinga is said to be 4 feet high and 12 feet in width.
