A 23-year-old man has been detained by Pune Rural police as a suspect in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala.

Santosh Jadhav, according to a Pune police official, was responsible for the death of Sidhu Moosewala and was apprehended in Gujarat by one of their squad members on Sunday night.

Santosh Jadhav, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was arrested in a 2021 murder case in the Pune district’s Manchar police station. For a year, he was on the run.

Siddhesh Kamble alias Mahakal, accused of protecting Jadhav following the 2021 murder case, was detained by Pune rural police.

Mahakal, a member of the Bishnoi gang, was detained by Pune rural police last week in an MCOCA case filed against him at Manchar police station. In connection with the Moose Wala murder case, he was also questioned by the Delhi Police Special Cell and Punjab Police.

However, Mahakal was also questioned by Mumbai cops in relation to a threat letter sent to playwright Salim Khan and his son Salman Khan.

In addition, the search for other people implicated in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala is ongoing.

Earlier on May 29, 2022 Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala was assassinated.
