India A Women marched into the final of the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 with a confident five-wicket win over Sri Lanka A Women in the first semi-final at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on Friday.

Chasing a target of 119, India A made the task look simple. They reached 119 for 5 in just 13.3 overs, showing positive intent right from the start. The batters played their shots freely and never allowed the pressure of a semi-final to affect them. Captain Radha Yadav led from the front with a superb all-round performance. She was rightly named Player of the Match. With the ball, she picked up four wickets for 19 runs, breaking the backbone of Sri Lanka A’s batting line-up. When it was time to chase, she stayed calm and unbeaten on 31, guiding her team home. Vrinda Dinesh provided the early spark with a quick 42 off just 20 balls. Her attacking approach put Sri Lanka A on the back foot immediately. Anushka Sharma chipped in with 27 off 18 balls, while Nandini Kashyap added useful runs. The lower order calmly finished the job without any drama.

Earlier, Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 118 in 19.4 overs after choosing to bat first. Sanjana Kavindi top-scored with 31, and Shashini Gimhani made 22, but regular wickets prevented them from building momentum. India A, the defending champions, had a shaky start with a loss to UAE but bounced back strongly. Wins over Pakistan A and Nepal in the group stage set the tone, and now they stand one step away from defending their title. India A will be Playing Bangladesh A in the Final.
