Supporters are still anticipating these procedures to bring comfort and relief to the renowned HeartBreak Kid.
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is at the edge of another significant surgical milestone of sorts, as it this time concerns his knees. We have the news courtesy of his old time friend and fellow hall of famer Kevin Nash who gave an eye opener of what is happening with the former Heartbreak Kid in a recent episode of the Kliq This podcast.
Nash also quoted that Michaels had already had surgery to replace decayed rods in his back, which were screws initially placed back into his back after he was injured in the notoriously known casket back in 1998. According to Nash, Michaels, who had been under the scalpel, woke up and his pain was reduced signifying that the surgery aided him somewhat.
But the back operation is only a mere actor in a larger medical endeavor. Nash would also confirm that not only both knees will have to be replaced to Michaels but cited years of wear and previous in ring injury as a cause. He said, with an ironical twist, that there might as well lurk a hip problem in anticipation of the years of strain on Shawn’s legs.
This is a sequence of physically demanding actions that in itself points out how demanding a legendary career in wrestling is. Originally remaining in the backstage position but this time as an important member of the WWE developing brand known as NXT, Shawn still appears to be paying the price of decades of high energy performance with his body.
Hopefully, fans would wish that the success of this new surgery would lead to a new era of ease and mobility of Michaels. As the back hardware has at last been cut out and knee replacements loom, there is at least the hopeful vacillation that the Heartbreak Kid will restoring more of his pre-injury quality of life.
