Dramatic images from the home of the Sri Lankan prime minister have gone popular online. In the videos, a sizable military presence is visible inside the home, attempting to keep the demonstrators from entering but failing. They stormed the prime minister’s office and demanded his resignation after bursting past a barricade despite being doused in tear gas. The video has stunned online users.
The protesters, in the eyes of the uninitiated, are protesting against the Prime Minister, who is expected to be named interim president.
