Pop diva Taylor Swift is planning to helm a feature-length film, US media reported Friday.
According to e-media outlets and other sources, the singer-songwriter behind classics like “Blank Space” has penned a story that Searchlight Pictures will produce.
According to David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, who are the presidents of Searchlight, Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller.
“Working with her as she begins this exciting and novel creative path is a true delight and honour.”
Information regarding the film, such as its narrative and characters, was not made public.
The 15-minute short film “All Too Well,” which served as the music video for the song she re-recorded and expanded in 2012, was written and directed by the American superstar last year. She also has behind-the-scenes credits on numerous other of her music videos.
Swift is among the most popular musicians in recent years.
When tickets went on sale last month for her impending “Eras” tour, demand was so high that Ticketmaster’s servers failed.
Swift, who has 11 Grammys overall, is the only solo artist to have taken home two MTV Music Video Awards for outstanding direction.
‘Midnights,’ her tenth studio album, was released in October to positive reviews.
